Damage Deposit: $1,000.00 CD. Cleaning fee will be deducted from this deposit.

The Area

Windrose is located in the heart of the historic seaside village of Chester, which overlooks Mahone Bay. A small, picturesque sailing village, Chester is on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia, along the scenic, coastal Lighthouse Route, approximately 50 minutes’ drive from Halifax.

Chester has two natural harbours; Front Harbour on the East and Back Harbour on the West. The waters of Mahone Bay, with its numerous islands, are well known for yachting. A ferry connects the village to two islands nearby: Big Tancook Island and Little Tancook Island.

There is also a small, sandy beach, swimming pool, tennis courts and a golf course.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Town Lunenburg, the small, bustling town of Mahone Bay and the picturesque Peggy’s Cove are within driving distance.

The area is excellent for sailing, fishing, hiking and cycling, as well as coastal exploring and sightseeing.
