The Area

The maritime town of Mahone Bay is on Nova Scotia’s beautiful South Shore, along the scenic, coastal Lighthouse Route.

The vibrant and bustling small town is steeped in nautical history and on Main Street the charm of century old architecture combines with modern day amenities, offering artisan galleries, specialty shops, restaurants, cafes and a museum, as well as a Post Office, grocery store and pharmacy.

Mahone Bay’s protected waters and photogenic vistas make it a popular sailing, kayaking, cycling and hiking destination. It’s also a great location for coastal exploring, sightseeing and scenic drives.

Halifax is approximately an hour and a half’s drive and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Town Lunenburg is nearby.
