The Legacy is a classic summer cottage that’s just steps away from Fox Point beach. This much treasured family home is a place of stories and traditions that has been lovingly and thoughtfully renovated to offer a warm welcome and be shared with vacationers looking for a comfortable, charming retreat.
The cottage has three bedrooms – two double and one single – as well as a pull down Murphy bed, sleeping 7 comfortably. Two full bathrooms. Family room, dining area, cosy seating nook, fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities.
Outside there’s a deck equipped with furniture and barbecue. Good size private garden surrounded by trees, with fire pit and outdoor shower. Fox Point beach is reached by a very short walk from the end of the garden and across the road.

Current Rates:
May, June & October: C$1680.00 per week (7 nights). Minimum stay 7 nights @ C$240.00 per night.
July, August and September: C$1890.00 CD per week. Minimum stay 7 nights @ C$270.00 per night.
Cleaning fee C$250.00 extra.
Booking fee C$125.00
Pet fee C$120.00 extra if applicable.
Off season (November to May) C$1900.00 per month plus Hydro. Internet, TV and ploughing included.
Refundable Damage Deposit C$500.00 CD.

The Area
Legacy Cottage is on Nova Scotia’s beautiful South Shore, along the scenic, coastal Lighthouse Route in the small community of Fox Point. It’s a short drive to local amenities at the small seaside town of Hubbards and around 45 minutes to Halifax.
You are walking distance (one minute) to Fox Point Beach. There are additional sandy beaches nearby, including Bayswater and Queensland, as well as sightseeing attractions including the historic seaside village of Chester, the quaint small town of Mahone Bay, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg and the picturesque Peggy’s Cove.
The area is excellent for outdoor recreational activities including sailing, fishing, kayaking and canoeing, trail walking and cycling, as well as for coastal exploring, Farmers’ Markets, art and craft galleries, antiques shopping and sightseeing.

Driving Instructions from Halifax or Airport to Legacy; 902 Hwy 329. B0J 1T0.
Leaving airport follow signs to Halifax (102)
Follow 102 to 103 West, towards Chester, Bridgewater, Yarmouth DO NOT FOLLOW SIGNS THAT SAY DARTMOUTH – BRIDGES – always STAY RIGHT – and follow 103 West.
You will drive for about half an hour heading west.
You will take Exit 6 signposted Hubbards & Queensland.
Drive down to the stop sign, and turn left.
You are now on Hwy 3 East.
Drive to Hubbards. Turn Right here; signposted 329 Lighthouse Route.
You are now on the Lighthouse Route with the ocean on your LEFT.
Carry on along this road.
You will eventually reach Fox Point.
The cottage is set back from the road just before you get to Fox Point beach on your RIGHT. It has a sign at the roadway showing ‘902 Legacy’.
Drive into the courtyard area. There is plenty of room for parking; either at the front or the right side of the house.. Enjoy your stay!
